Metering & Data

MPRN (Meter Point Reference Number)

The MPRN is a unique 6-10 digit number identifying every gas supply point in Great Britain, used for billing, switching suppliers, and industry data flows.

What is an MPRN?

A Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) is the unique identifier for a gas supply point in the UK. Also known as the "M number" or "supply number", it identifies the property's gas connection rather than the physical meter.
